The MAISKA (spray) foam fire extinguisher is almost universally applicable. It is highly user-friendly and extremely effective. When used for extinguishing, it causes minimal collateral damage. The extinguisher has a very good effect on solid fires (Class A) and liquid fires (Class B). Therefore, this foam fire extinguisher is suitable for use on burning materials such as paper, wood, and textiles.

Construction & Operation

The MAISKA foam fire extinguisher operates under constant pressure. This ensures that the device is always ready for immediate use. The extinguisher is constructed of a steel cylinder with a polyester resin coating on the outside and a flexible coating on the inside. The special nozzle has a spray pattern that provides the extinguisher with maximum extinguishing power. After removing the safety pin, the foam spray can be activated or stopped by squeezing or releasing the squeeze valve. The extinguisher valve is equipped with a pressure indicator. Pressure can be measured using a pressure gauge pump. The foam extinguishing agent is stored under nitrogen pressure in the cylinder. Our extinguisher meets all safety requirements.

Approvals

The MAISKA foam fire extinguishers are equipped with a type approval and produced according to EN3 (M.E.D.). Additionally, the extinguishers carry the CE mark and are approved by the maritime inspection (Marine Equipment Directive).

Extinguishing Agent

Foam extinguishing agent is a mixture of water, foam-forming agent, and ambient air. Foam has low thermal conductivity, which insulates unignited fuels and protects them from heat. The foam from the MAISKA foam fire extinguisher causes minimal collateral damage. In a solid fire (Class A), the foam penetrates the burning material, rapidly cooling it and extinguishing the fire. In liquid fires (Class B), a 'film layer' is formed, preventing oxygen from entering. It is also highly effective on oil/grease fires (Class F).
